Because a balance of minerals is present in Auro Liquid Gold, it rearranges ions to form strong and stable mineral bonds. Auro Liquid Gold contains volcanic ionic sulfate minerals, powerful ions that can break up weak mineral bonds. In summary, without the use of harmful, synthetic chemicals, the sulfate ionic volcanic minerals in Auro Liquid Gold activate water’s natural ability to cleanse itself from chemical and biological contaminants. Minerals keep oxygen activated, so harmful contaminants cannot form or grow back in the water. Activated oxygen also kills disease-causing micro-organisms, and prevents bacterial growth. In addition, magnetic ionic minerals activate oxygen that breaks down carbon waste and neutralizes contaminants, so they are no longer toxic. ![]() ![]() The precipitated contaminants are heavier than water, so they sink to the bottom and can be easily removed, providing you with the most pristine water. The magnetic force pulls contaminants (both insoluble and dissolved) away from water molecules and clumps them together into visible particles.Īs contaminants clump together and become insoluble, they precipitate out of solution, and cannot dissolve back into the solution. Auro Liquid Gold contains ionic minerals with a magnetic quality that have ionic and cationic exchange properties – the ability to donate or receive electrons. Water treated with Auro Liquid Gold delivers superior hydration and has a pure, delicious taste.Īuro Liquid Gold is extracted from biotite volcanic eruptions, a powerful combination of earth′s naturally occurring minerals, through a proprietary process. How does Auro Liquid Gold work? Simplified Auro Liquid Gold is blend of purified water and ionic bioavailable minerals that provide a safe and effective way to purify water.

![]() You can do that with all verbs, like deleting three lines is 3dd. There are lots of movements (more in the next section) – the easiest is with numbers.įor example, to copy three lines, you add a 3 in front, such as 3yy. Each verb takes a subject for their movements. The y is doubled up which makes it easier to type since it's a joint operation. In this case, yank is the verb and the second y is a synonym for y_. Copying (or yanking) in Vim with y, deleting with d, pasting with p, changing with c, and so on.įor example, the easiest shortcut is copying a line with yy. The grammar has different verbs to begin with. Just as spoken language grammar has verbs, subjects, and objects, so does the Vim language. Are you too busy to improve | Image from steenschledermann Vim Grammar You're not too busy to learn - you'll learn as you go. But getting better every day and having more fun coding or writing should be motivation enough. Yes, it’s hard in the beginning, but that’s the case with everything new and different. But there are also Browser extensions like Vimium or Firenvim, and Gmail even adapted some of Vim's shortcuts for navigation ( j, k for moving, g for jumping).Įveryone who types on a computer eight hours a day should learn the Vim language. This has nothing to do with the editor yet – these are universal and available in other editors as well.įor example, there's VSVim for VSCode, IdeaVim for the JetBrains products, Vintage Mode for Sublime, and so on. These are often called the Vim language or Vim motions for moving around. ![]() Instead of remembering a thousand shortcuts, you can learn a couple and combine them. Vim has a terrific language or grammar behind its shortcuts. Let’s get deeper into Vim and the language behind it. With it, you express what you want to do first, how many times, and then what you want it to apply. I learned that there’s a grammar behind the editor. But this wasn't the case for one specific reason: Vim motions and its language. You see, I’m bad at remembering anything and thought that Vim was not for me. Lots of things have been said about Vim – how fast it is, how only Linux nerds use it, and that it’s impossible to exit Vim.įor myself, I fell in love with the “Vim language”. We'll see how to move with vim motions, and I'll share what I’ve learned so far, and why you might give Vim a try as well. Let’s debunk the myth of Vim and learn how it’s possible to remember all the shortcuts using the specific Vim language. After climbing the steep learning curve, it’s still one of the most powerful skills I've ever learned in my career, working for a living on a computer. It felt liberating, moving my cursor with the precision of a surgeon.Īlthough speed is a smaller benefit, it got me started when I saw others navigating in Vim. It’s where many Vim users get a lot of pleasure from coding and writing. It was like a game, seeing if I could use fewer shortcuts to accomplish a particular edit. I realized there was a keystroke to get to any specific position I wanted to jump. When I discovered that and played around a bit, I felt numb and a little stupid, having not learned the shortcuts (called Vim language) much earlier in my career. I've since learned that Vim is the only editor that you get faster using with time. Everything I was doing I did decently fast, but I didn’t get any faster. But shortcuts like cmd(+shift)+end and jumping with option+arrow-keys from word to word needed to be faster at some point. Throughout my time as a developer, I've used VS Code, Sublime, Notepad++, TextMate, and others. ![]() For you, for them, for anyone – discover classic pieces that stand the test of time and get better with age. Brighter blue indicates more diamonds having that specific depth and table combination. Radiant Depth, Table, and L/W Ratio Proportionsīelow is a heatmap showing the counts of depth and table combinations for radiant diamonds available online at James Allen and Blue Nile. ![]() Short mains radiants have been cut to maximize carat weight, hiding carats in a more bulbous pavilion where you can’t see it. For example, the long mains 1.01 E VS1 (6.65×5.21mm) is much larger than the short mains 1.01 E VS1 (6.04×4.85mm). For radiant diamonds of the same carat weight, long mains look on average ~5% larger than short mains. Short Mains Radiant Pavilion Facet Pattern Short Mains Radiant 1.01 E VS1ĭiamonds with long mains also have larger spreads (visual surface area) compared to short mains. Thus, the long mains pattern shows more scintillation and has better light performance. In contrast, the long mains pattern has larger facets that produce bigger flashes of light (shown below). Short mains patterns introduce extra facets that chop up the light, often resulting in a watery look. The image shown below is the most common short mains pattern, but there are many other types. In contrast, there are many “short mains” pavilion facet patterns in which the “X” doesn’t extend all of the way to the edge of the diamond. You can also check the main pavilion facets of the diamond itself. ![]() There’s only one long mains radiant pavilion facet pattern, so this is the only image you need to remember. In the “long mains” pavilion facet pattern shown below, the pavilion facet mains (the “X” highlighted in red) extend all of the way to the edge of the diamond. Of the many radiant pavilion facet patterns, you should only look for one: the “long mains” pattern. Radiant diamonds exhibit a lot of variation in how they’re cut, demonstrated by the diversity of pavilion facet diagrams shown on diamond grading reports. We automatically highlight such diamonds in our price curves to make the search process easier. Searching for radiant diamonds using these criteria will enrich your results for well-cut diamonds with optimal light performance and a larger than average spread. The initial value of a static variable is the default value ( §9.3) of the variable’s type.įor the purposes of definite-assignment checking, a static variable is considered initially assigned. A static variable comes into existence before execution of the static constructor ( §15.12) for its containing type, and ceases to exist when the associated application domain ceases to exist. end example 9.2.2 Static variablesĪ field declared with the static modifier is a static variable. X is a static variable, y is an instance variable, v is an array element, a is a value parameter, b is a reference parameter, c is an output parameter, d is an input parameter, and i is a local variable. Void F(int v, int a, ref int b, out int c, in int d) The subclauses that follow describe each of these categories. 9.2 Variable categories 9.2.1 GeneralĬ# defines eight categories of variables: static variables, instance variables, array elements, value parameters, input parameters, reference parameters, output parameters, and local variables. For an initially unassigned variable to be considered definitely assigned at a certain location, an assignment to the variable shall occur in every possible execution path leading to that location. An initially unassigned variable has no initial value. ![]() An initially assigned variable has a well-defined initial value and is always considered definitely assigned. The value of a variable can be changed through assignment or through use of the ++ and - operators.Ī variable shall be definitely assigned ( §9.4) before its value can be obtained.Īs described in the following subclauses, variables are either initially assigned or initially unassigned. C# is a type-safe language, and the C# compiler guarantees that values stored in variables are always of the appropriate type. Every variable has a type that determines what values can be stored in the variable. ![]() New England ships carried the rum to Africa, and traded rum for enslaved people. Plantations on the English colonies of Jamaica and Barbados grew sugar, processed it into molasses, and shipped it to Boston where local distillers turned it into rum. Why did Boston store such large quantities of molasses in tanks? Boston's "Triangular Trade," Explainedīoston had long been a major molasses center and was a major player in the "triangular" trade dealing in molasses, rum, and slaves. In World War I, molasses was also used in making some types of munitions. Molasses has some nutritional value and is used to produce products such as cattle feed and rum - and of course it's a key cooking ingredient for things like gingerbread, ginger cookies, Boston brown bread, and Boston baked beans. In case you're wondering exactly what molasses is, it's the residue that's left over after sugar cane is boiled to extract sugar. Why Was Molasses in that Tank? The explosion sent what an eyewitness called a “30 foot wall of goo” (later determined to have been about 40 feet) down Commercial Street at a speed estimated to be 35 mph.Īs the gooey mess covered the neighborhood and spread out in a 2-to-3 foot thick layer across downtown, it buried and drowned people and animals in its path. The explosion also created a vacuum immediately after the initial blast, which destroyed even more buildings, dragged a truck across a street, and pulled a train off the tracks. The force of the explosion caused some buildings to collapse and knocked others off their foundations. Some of them cut the steel girders of an elevated railway. ![]() Metal rivets 1/2 inch thick were torn apart and flew through air like shrapnel. Shortly after noon in Boston's North End, a rusty, already-leaking tank containing 2.3 million gallons of fermenting, smelly, sticky molasses at the bottom of Copp's Hill exploded. On January 15th, the outdoor temperature rose to an unusually (for Boston in January) balmy 45° F. The Great Molasses Flood of 1919, Boston's version of Pompeii, surely ranks as one of the city's worst disasters - and it's hard to think of a ghastlier one. ![]() Whereas the newer SRS-XB23 is running the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology. And while both devices offer Bluetooth, the Revolve runs on the older Bluetooth 4.2 version (no surprise here as it is a few years old). ![]() Bluetooth connectivityīluetooth is essential for most portable speakers. So in the functionality department, we’d consider this a tie. It seems that customers felt much the same about the speakers functionality, too - that both are easy to set up, use, and pair to devices. They each have a companion app, too, with which you can manage your connections, personalise your settings, unlock features, and more. In terms of similarities between the two, both have a speakerphone function and charge via a charging cable plugged into a USB type port located on the speaker. It also has a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, unlike the SRS-XB23. This dock is useful for using your Revolve around the house. Though not boasting built-in lights, the Revolve has its own unique addition to offer: a charging cradle (sold separately) to dock it in when it needs a recharge. If you want to boost the sound for a party, you can also pair both speakers with a group of other compatible speakers or two stereo-paired with your system. These lights could jazz up a starlit campfire night, a sleepover, or a romantic evening at home. However, the SRS-XB23 has a unique feature and, therefore, a button to match! You see, the SRS-XB23 comes with built-in party lighting, which can be configured using the Music Centre app. Each panel includes the expected volume, Bluetooth, and power buttons with charge and battery indicator lights - plus a few extras. The buttons are easy to access on both speakers, though. So, how easy is the Bose SoundLink Revolve to use vs the Sony SRS-XB23? Both speakers are slightly different, with the Revolve featuring a top button panel and the SRS-XB23 a side button panel instead. Photo: Amazonįorm and function work together to make a portable speaker truly great. Considering the SRS-XB23 is less than half the price of the Revolve, though this speaker is still quite a catch! Overall, both speakers get top marks for sound, especially for their price and size. Who wins the sound battle, though? Customers felt that both portable speakers produced excellent sound, with the Revolve coming out on top by a slight margin. So, you can use them in cahoots with voice assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa via your device. In terms of voice features, both speakers have a built-in mic. Just remember to switch the speaker settings from monaural audio playback to stereo audio playback using the Sony Music Center app when using it horizontally! As mentioned before, you can also use the SRS-XB23 speaker upright or horizontally. This setup increases the speaker's sound pressure to naturally produce punchier bass! The diaphragm also reduces driver excursion, thus creating less distortion. Though not offering full 360° sound, the SRS-XB23 has its own trick up its sleeve! This speaker is designed with side passive radiators and a unique, non-circular diaphragm. All together, these features produce astounding true, non-directional 360° sound. The Bose SoundLink Revolve has a unique setup, comprising dual passive radiators, a downward-facing transducer, and an omnidirectional acoustic deflector. Thanks to some unique hardware, each of these speakers boast better-than-average audio for portable speakers. Even so, both the SRS-XB23 and the SoundLink Revolve perform surprisingly well! In fact, this is one of the main reasons both are so popular. One of the most important features of any speaker is undoubtedly its audio quality! Being portable speakers, one can forgive slight shortfalls in sound quality compared to your regular wired stereo speakers. Both speakers are upright-standing, meaning that they aren’t necessarily as stable when rested on an irregular surface.īose SoundLink Revolve in triple black. Even so, neither the SoundLink Revolve nor the SRS-XB23 ascribe to this mould. In this post, we will discuss the key differences between these two devices, so you can see for yourself which is the best fit for you! DesignĪs far as portable Bluetooth speakers go, there is a general oblong, flat shape that most adhere to. However, the Sony SRS-XB23 may surprise you! Now, you may assume that the pricier speaker must be the best option. Though quite similar, these two speakers come in at drastically different price points with the Sony SRS-XB23 about half the price of the Bose SoundLink Revolve. Two of Bose and Sony’s top-rated portable speakers. Meet the Bose SoundLink Revolve and Sony SRS-XB23. And while arguably some of their best designs are of the headphone variety, its portable speakers boast the same design, audio quality and durability of its high-end noise cancelling headphones.
